Are you curious about clay and want to start your journey with us? Or do you already work with ceramics but want inspiration or help with certain techniques?
Together we go through the properties of clay and different ways of creating. You will have to try thumb, roll, curl and spin in an exciting environment for 6 weeks. You decide for yourself and you can get help with which you think is the most fun to work with or what you want to immerse yourself in. Your creations are glazed out of you and burned on the spot!
The course runs for 6 consecutive weeks after the start date of the course.
The course leader is Lulle.

Practical information
Week 1 - Introduction
Introduction to clay, tools and the pottery process. Try kneading, shaping and building with your hands as well as basics in turning.
Week 2 - Mission and Handles
Learn mission and how to shape foot rings. Practice creating and attaching handles. Continue working with the items from the first week.
Week 3 - Plates
Create plates on the turntable or by shaping by hand.
Explore edges, shapes, patterns, and textures.
Week 4 - Creating Your Own Shape
Dare to experiment and develop your style, try a new technique or an organic sculptural object. We continue practicing techniques.
Week 5 - Decor and Finishing
Explore engobes and other decorating techniques.
Prepare and complete the works before glazing.
Week 6 - Glazing and Finishing
Introduction to glazes, colors and various surface results.
Glaze your burnt works.
